My review

I knew nothing of the real case, and indeed didn't even know it was based on a real story until the very end clip of archive footage made that clear, so judged it only on its own merits and found it to be very good and surprisingly gripping. This was, though, despite Keitel, who I thought was appalling - very badly miscast, and delivering terrible performance. As per the next thread, it was just wrong - hard to analyse in detail, but wrong. Especially when compard to Skarsgaard, who was superb, and the young lady who played Emmi. The atmosphere of immediate post-war Berlin was well achieved, despite a couple of poor effects shots, and I liked the hints of other issues in the background, such as the aniti-Semitism of many Americans pre-war.
