Favorite Musical Numbers

My favorite numbers in the production were Burnett's renditions of "The Ladies Who Lunch", "Could I Leave You?", and "Getting Married Today" which deservedly stopped the show. Carol Burnett is known so much as a comedienne that people forget what an accomplished musician she is and this show allows people to remember that. I also liked Hearn's duet with Barrowman on "Pretty Women" from SWEENEY TODD and Hensall's two numbers from DICK TRACY: "Sooner or Later" and "More." The five part arrangement of "Being Alive" from COMPANY was also spectacular as was Bronson Pinchot's vaudevillian turn on "Buddy's Blues" from FOLLIES.

For me: "A Little Death", "Being Alive" and "Old Friends" just put me into tears. "Lovely", "Everybody Out to Have a Maid", "There's Always a Woman", and "Not Getting Married Today" are fantastic for laughs. My view, of course. But I can listen to everything over and over again.

"Invocations and Instructions To The Audience", "Ladies Who Lunch", "Pretty Women", "Being Alive", "More" and "Buddy's Blues" - particularly when Bronson bursts through the door and shouts, "my turn!"

Go take a step outside - see what’s shaking in the real world.
