Email from director Joshua Butler

My Message:

Hi,

After watching an old recording your film Beer Money again after many years and getting a good laugh out of it, I unfortunately found out the movie had a DVD release in Brazil only. Is there a chance that the movie will get an American DVD release with hopefully some good extras? Was what is shown in the link below a planned release? Thank you if respond and take care.

From Josh:

Hey S.J.

Thanks for reaching out. It's always nice to know when someone out there discovers (or rediscovers) BEER MONEY, which is rapidly becoming one of the most obscure movies ever made, in my opinion. I am really proud of that film, though, and I too discovered the Brazilian DVD release—but only after it was out of print in Brazil! I hope that someday I'll have the power to convince an American DVD company to unlock BEER MONEY from the vaults, but sadly there is nothing in the works at this time. The Imdb photo was of a DVD I put together myself to give to friends and family.

My advice is keep your old recording of BEER MONEY—it is as rare as you think it is. Really appreciate the kind words about the film.

Awesome. Thanks for sharing that, man. I agree that it is without a doubt one of the most unsung, underrated comedic flicks created and it surely deserves a DVD release here in the States. Please, Josh, PLEASE get a distributor to make that unrated director's cut edition a reality! And once that's accomplished, talk USA Network into doing a sequel!!!
