Dialogue proves it’s all a dream
It seems like the dialogue between characters are verbal representations of the thoughts and emotions characters are experiencing/expressing and not the actual conversations the characters had in David’s real life before Life Extension, assuming the entire film is a dream and not just everything after the night club scene. It seems to be especially noticeable in the scene where Brian introduces Sophia to David, when David talks to his lawyer at the party about being incompetent, and the scene where Julie confronts David outside Sophia’s apartment. The lines they say are not what real people would say in a conversation but are expressions of the deep-rooted thoughts and emotions they are feeling at that moment.
