Buford.. creepy?

It's been suggested that his character was becoming more agitated as Mindy denied interest in him. That an assault with the knife was imminent and the tabloids in living him, saved Mindy.

Now, that seems a little unfair. Yeah he was checking her out w binoculars (from 15 feet away lol) and he dressed like a 90s tweaker but really? A rapist? Guy was an admitted roadkill worker previously, nothing even criminal.

With that said, I did look I to his character history more after 're watching the movie and realizing how dark the character was in an otherwise light franchise.

Thoughts?

Definitely an odd little moment of tension that was out of place. And since he subsequently died, it's not like that development even meant anything.

i always agreed that this was weird. i think it was just really misdirected. i don't think he was meant to be sinister when the script was written, and the director for some reason thought the line sounded better with the creepy acting and eerie direction.
