How do you know they never killed any customers? And what about the injured ones? What about Post Traumatic Stress and depression suffered from people who were in an around the clinic at the time it was bombed? Also, what research? Where is it? How was that research gathered and by whom? Was it fact based research or somebody's or some organization's subjective interpretation?
"Adult human beings who were in the process of killing young, defenseless human beings. HELLO celticgirl 801! "
As you guys often tout "A life is a life" People don't deserve to die because you disagree with what they do John. If that were the case, you would have been dead a long time ago. Should we kill you for your beliefs? I don't think so.
I'm more interested in discovering why women feel that they need to get an abortion in the first place. I work in a health center that serves a huge prenatal population. We do not perform abortions and the government does not allow us to pursuade a woman to take one particular action over another. However, we are required to give options counseling, which makes a woman aware of ALL of her options. Many of the patients are poor. Many times when a women, or especially a teenage girl, gets pregnant they become scared, panic, don't want their parents or anyone else to know, and are unaware of all of their options and how to exercise those options. The adoption process can be overwhelming for the 15 year old girl who can't tell her Mom she's pregnant and doesn't have any support system. Women in abusive relationships don't have a chance to go through such a process unless they manage to escape their abuser, which is often a life threatening situation. That abusive husband may demand an abortion and the women feels trapped. These are very complex situations. I think if we're going to slow the rate of abortions, then we need to highlight the other options and also provide a better and more accessible support system for pregnant women and girls that ensures confidentiality and safety. I've ever met a woman who truly believes that abortion is a great and wonderful thing. They just feel stuck, frightened and think they have no where else to turn. Why don't we put our energies into helping these woman get the support and information they need rather than killing them? If you believe that God would be a great support system for them, then why don't you help them find God instead calling for their execution?
