What this film is missing

I'm in my eighth decade of life, and I remember...boy, do I remember.

The film doesn't mention it, and no one on this board has mentioned it, so let ME mention it. LEGAL abortion clinics were set up to provide women with a safe way to abort UNWANTED children. Despite what religious loonybirds will say, not ALL men or women are emotionally equipped to be parents and are actually making responsible choices by NOT having children.

Not long ago, women (many of them poor, desperate and absolutely terrified) were going to back-alley human butcher shops and having fetuses removed with any number of sharp objects, including those famous coat hangers. Infections were commonplace. A relative of mine almost died from one of these 'operations'. People of my generation know of many other incidents where women either died or nearly died.

The crazies in this documentary think it's 'God's will' to produce children, completely ignoring the fact that many will be abandoned, neglected, and inevitably end up in trouble. Just look to the streets of our cities and you will find multitudes of adults who have never felt wanted, have never known love or stability in their entire lives. Many end up on booze or drugs, become criminals, or (see Lokey in the film) become murderers. Then they magically find the Lord, which, of course, then gives them the divine right to tell the rest of us how to live our lives.

These people live lives of blissful and twisted contradiction: kill all the abortionists, kill all the condemned murderers (except Lokey and the sainted Jeff Hill of course), kill all the animals (for sport of course), kill all them Muslims (it used to be kill all them commies), just kill anything, but, in Jesussssss' name, don't y'all kill unwanted babies.

I hate to say this, but the religious lunatics in this film, these blood-thirsty monsters alleging to follow the 'message' of God to 'save the unborn,' would have made great candidates for abortions themselves. The world would be better off without these very sick people and so many others who invoke murder while telling us that the Lord speaks only to them. That kind of arrogance is breathtaking.

Hear, hear! And very well written.

An old thread, I know, but thought it deserved a big thumbs up.
