who had no idea how to treat a woman.

Seriously, this guy was physically incapable of saying and doing the right things, every word out of his mouth got him in trouble and worse he felt no regret for it.

His actions? Worse! He did things he knew were wrong, often right in front of her yet he did them anyway, he just didn't care.

He was the perfect example of the idiot male who doesn't know what he has or the most basic clue how to hang onto it.

If you expect the unexpected doesn't the unexpected then become the expected?

What I really LOVED about this movie was how immature the guy was.

That's not to say that Julia was so, so mature - they were both too young for the dreams they had and wanted to share.

Seriously, when the guy shows up at the door of his friend and starts crying, I wanted to slap him and say, 'Man up!' Like that would help... Only time matures people, sometimes, combined with experience and some convictions about various things. But you can have the latter two and, when you don't have time, you're lost.

Loved this movie. Reminded me of every kid I knew when I was in college (Julia was just out of college, remember...)
