Dialogue/Improv

The performances in this were very real and the dialogue so refreshingly real. Down to the colloquialisms and speech mannerisms, it's as if the writer went to a neighborhood in Harlem and recorded conversations and had the actors mimic them. Does anyone know if the actors might've done a little improvisation..
