RIP: Actor & Screenwriter Jean-Claude Deret dies at 95

Death of Jean-Claude Deret, creator of "Thierry slingshot" and father of Zabou Breitman

CULTURE - The writer, actor and singer Jean-Claude Deret born Claude Breitman, creator of the series "Thierry sling," died Monday in Paris at the age of 95 years, announced Tuesday AFP her daughter Zabou Breitman .

Father of actress and director, Jean-Claude Deret led several theaters in Paris in the 50s with Le Caveau de la Huchette and Rose Red.

After ten years in Canada as a recognized actor, Jean-Claude Deret signed from 1963 scenarios "Thierry la Fronde" TV series to international success he held one role, that of Sir Florent .

One of his last plays as a playwright, "Samuel in the island", was named the 2006 Molières.

In film and television, Jean-Claude Deret performed many roles including "Beautiful Memories", directed by his daughter Zabou Breitman, and the series "The Family Stone".
