Deserved greater attention

It is a real shame that a film like Lantana, with its fantastic acting and amazing script did not do better around the world. We need more quality products like this. Instead of the structure(less), easily made on the fly films. Like
many a sequel (american pie comes straight to mind), zoolanda (did this film ever
go via a pre production storyboard stage??? Dont think so.
Gimme more more more Amelie, Lantana, colour of paradise, usual suspects, se7en, any film that has been thought and conceived, rather than ill-produced for profit sake.

I agree with gamn. Unfortunately, greater attendance comes from the movie that appeals to the 18-25 year old, so that's where Hollywood spends it's money. What a shame!

Commercialism over art.

You're wrong about the main target group for the major Hollywood studios. It is not the group of 18 plus, but illiterate 12-14 years old teenagers.

Good point! I stand corrected.

Hello cleith, I've noticed your on here alot you seem to be devoting alot of time to this hated movie, why? Also I don't believe I even have to say anything about your comment, anyone who's read it comes to a pretty strong conclusion about you cleith.

This coming from cleith who said Anthony's accent was crap, well he actually is Australian

reply

He is and he cannot even use his own accent correctly. Listen to the movie again and you will notice that I speak the truth. You think that I didn't know he was Austailian? He cannot even speak like one anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I realise this is belated, but where are you from cleith?? Just out of interest. Because I heard nothing out of place with his accent during the film <and it's Australian :)>...different story in the special features though.

I thought this was a great movie actually, and it is a shame it didn't have more of an international impact.

Xander: Yep, vampires are real. A lot of em live in Sunnydale. Willow 'll fill you in...
