Well if you really want to imagine it, just take a look at Scooby Doo/Garfield/The Smurfs/Tranformers/etc.
It'll be live action with CGI. It will probably acknowledge that Felix is a fictional animated character because that's considered edgy when you handle a property for a movie. The plot will probably involve Felix coming to the "real world" for some reason or another, and he will be CGI when he does emerge on Earth. The professor and poindexter will follow him and be played by real people in exaggerated make up when they are in the real world.
Of course, these movies can never revolve around the intended characters so they will anchor it with some inoffensive 30-something white guy (because Hollywood is creatively bankrupt) probably played by Ryan Reynolds or Taylor Kitsch. Said white guy will be a bit of a loser or screw up and Felix will come crashing into his life.
The plot will promise to explore character lore that's never been done before like the origins of the magic bag or something, but in reality the plot will really be about Felix trying to fix Ryan Reynolds' life (because Hollywood is creatively bankrupt) and in typical fashion, Felix will make things worse. Then there will be a tense scene where Ryan Reynolds kicks Felix out of his life, and then he will feel like a jerk and realize that Felix was really trying to help all along and will look for him to apologize, only to find and save him from impending doom at the last possible second.
And it will open with $20 million at the box office because Ryan Reynolds is in it and no one will like it.
Then there will be an after credits scene hinting at a big budget Cartoon All Stars to the Rescue that will put The Avengers to shame.
