What movie clip was this? Man stabbed in bed and arm chopped off.

There was one part near the beginning where they showed a clip from a horror movie where a group of people were holding a man down in bed, and chop off his arm, and stab him. What movie was this from? I thought it might be The Hills Have Eyes, but I have never seen that movie.

It's the ending of William Lustig's Maniac (1980), which Tom Savini did the effects for. The clip of Savini in a car having his head blown off is also from Maniac.
