Were all the scenes set in a park or an area not wery large? To me it looked like all the battles took action on the same looking hills etc

At least it was filmed outside. 300 was filmed inside a wharehouse. Still you make a good point.

I noticed how evenly mowed the battlefields were. Distractingly evenly mowed, actually.
