Well I'm glad the women watching this got some enjoyment out of it because I didn't. The whole thing was bollocks from start to finish. A film depicting such an obscure (to most people) period of history should at least appeal to fans of history and be somewhat accurate. Someone should have told the people who made this pile of arse about accuracy, because a film CAN be accurate and still be good.

Gerard Butler does not play a convincing Attila. The real Attila was most probably Asian in appearance, would've looked more Chinese than Scottish.

The Roman Emperor Valentinian III was somewhat accurately portrayed, he was a fool, but probably more brutal than the gibbering idiot he was portrayed as in this film.

The portrayal of Flavius Aetius was probably the most accurate of all. He was incredibly competent, very powerful and influential and very ambitious.

As for the battles... Jesus. The Romans were all wearing armour and using shields that they hadn't used for 200 years. They didn't wear the segmented armour anymore, they wore chainmail. They didn't use the big square shields anymore, they were smaller and oval shaped. And why did they charge in to battle with their throwing spears, but then not throw the spears? Romans threw the spears and then fought with their swords.

It would've been easy for the people who made this low budget bollocks to make it REALISTIC. These changes would've IMPROVED the film, and it would've been just as easy and cheap to make!

Yes that is me in a blonde wig. Don't pretend I don't look sexy af.
