Totally unsympathetic main character


Looks like I'm going to be the odd one out here (at least on the board - the user comments have some more realistic views).

Apart from the bad acting, poor script etc etc., I didn't like the film because right from the beginning I found Morris to be a total smartass arrogant self-centred pr*ck. I just couldn't feel any sympathy for him because of the way he treated everyone around him - friends and family.

One thing that I probably imagined, but in the final scenes when Morris and his best friend are near the band box and they have their little spat, the camera moves away and we see them speak then hug. I couldn't help wondering if his friend told him that he loved him in the romantic sense. That thought jumped out and seemed so right at the time and still does.

PS I watched the DVD version where he dies in the end.
