Fashionable pop psychology..insight lacking

"The Unsaid" is a well-made, well-acted film. However, it is strictly pop sex abuse psychology without any reference to the role of religion, tribal obsessions, and Freudian psychoanalysis in modern western culture. It is also indifferent to all those cases in which child sexual abuse accusations are false. Sense of shame and guilt does not occur without the help of religion and tribalism.
