Brilliant Film, Deserves More Accolades

One Week (2000) is a brilliant film that I just had the pleasure to watch on Bounce TV. It's shame that I had never heard of this film and it was released 13 years ago. A great commentary of the impact of HIV on the community.

Independent films need to get more publicity. I usually enjoy them more than the mainstream films. They seem to be very intelligently produced.

i remember seeing the a seminar with the actor and director of this film and they said when they show this movie to hollywood execs they told them that this wasn't black enough for them or they don't think black people would be smart enough to understand this film if they market or release it and they told them this right to their face.
