Because the USA is THE place in the world... everything has to be according to its timeline. So if a movie is 3 years old and released all over, except in the US, where it will be released much much later, it will have the year of the date in the US

Unfortunately, yes. (Just to be nice: Some of the problem may also be that the IMDb is USA-based.)
share"Since this project is categorized as being in production, the data is subject to change or could be removed completely." and "Status: Completed" .....even if imdb is USA-based, they should at least know if a movie is completed or if it is "in production"......and if i were a admin here, before i put something as part of the top news in "coming soon", i`d rather get all the facts correct....
So, in other words the release dates under the IMDb entries only apply to the US? This is so embarrassing! I didn't get that, so I searched through "upcoming movies 2004" in the cinema here in Norway and there was no such thing as The Reckoning to be found. So I even contacted them and asked them if it is to be set up some time in the future... Then I discovered that it was released on DVD six months ago. What a *%ยค%! moron...
Well, the good thing is, I don't have to wait for it any longer.
