The Reckoning: the Ugly Continued Still

Nicholas is more introspective and more questioning in the book, than he is in the film.

On the other hand, in the book, there is less question about the girl's guilt, than there is in the film. In the film, the questions come earlier and are asked by more people.

In the book, it is Martin, not Nicholas, who loves the girl.

In the book, Nicholas has less need for redemption, than he does in the film, maybe, because his guilt is less in the book, than it is in the film. Which may be why he has to die in the film, but not in the book.

To be continued . . .
