Amazing cast in retrospect

I had never heard of this movie until recently stumbling upon it.
I was shocked to see so many great actors in it who were already or have gone on to be big stars like Willem Dafoe, Paul Bettany, Brian Cox, Tom Hardy, and Vincent Cassel, as well as solid British character actors like Matthew Macfadyen, Gina McKee, Simon McBurney, and Ewen Bremner. Not to mention Julian Barratt and Simon Pegg popping up for brief appearances.

There were some flaws in the pacing and the ending could have been done better, but overall, it was a solid movie that seems quite under-rated here. Should be within the mid 7-8 range compared to what other similar movies get rated on this site.

I know ... from my perspective I was thinking as I watched this: three of the biggest foxes in the world all in one movie: Bettany Dafoe and Cassel. I also have always liked Brian Cox. (Sorry my kindle doesn't seem to do commas.) And as you said some later-to-be-well-known people like Hardy. Sort of like watching Enemy of the State or some of the Jurassics in that way: some famous faces early on. Well of course that can be true of any movie.
