I have never been completely clear on what happens at the end when the worldstone is destroyed. My guess is that we are spose to just keep guessing (either end of all worlds and no D3 or the world is just changed to some extreme and MAYBE there can be a third game). Anyone else have a theory?
shareOf course there will be a Diablo III. I think that the shattering of the Worldstone just had some massive effect on the world and opens up tons of new interesting story-line possibilities.
shareI'm not sure how this would play out, but if you read Knaak's Sin War trilogy books (yes, i'm a huge dork) the worldstone is what keeps the human's powers 'in check' in sanctuary. Therefore destroying it should allow everyone to have crazy powers like the main character and some lesser characters of the book.
