If there was such a thing as a 'beautiful' action movie..

..Would this be one?

reply

Absolutely. Well made.

Will Graham: I don't find you that interesting.
Hannibal Lecter: You will.

I would concur, I'd also add Die Hard, possibly the best action movie ever. However, I'm sure there are more, can't seem to think of others.

Don't like what I'm saying? Then call 1800-Ima-CryBaby and ask for "Waaaaaa"

reply

If you count No Country For Old Men as an action movie, I'd add that one as well because of the cinematography.

The first action scene blew me away...when Bourne goes to town on the two German cops at the park bench.

I remember thinking "Woah"

reply

Swiss. He's in Zürich, remember? I agree, the scene is good.

Will Graham: I don't find you that interesting.
Hannibal Lecter: You will.

@Lucy9596 To be fair, the cops were speaking a German dialect, so it's an easy mistake to make.

Well, Drive has a beautiful aesthetic, so does The House of the Flying Daggers and many asian action flics

reply

Can't get enough. Brilliant.

It is 'just' an action picture but each set piece is splendid. There are moments of great beauty such as the eerie one one one fight in the corn stubble near Eamon's house.
