How was the tennis?


Is it as bad and unrealistic as the movie Wimbledon with cgi balls flying everywhere?

I didn't see Wimbledon but you seldom saw a ball and a player at the same time. You'd see serves going up. You'd see players running, but close up so that was all you'd see. Then you'd see feet, then a swing, and you'd hear the shot but not see it. Then you'd see a ball go into the net or in bounds or out, and all in slow motion with tango or other silly music. Didn't see any CGI balls though. Just clever editing to make the actors look OK.

Speaking of which, I love Holly Hunter but I remember Billy Jean King as being much tougher. Ron Silver looked and acted just like Bobby Riggs. It's too bad we didn't get to see King's solid playing, and Riggs' amazing accuracy and clever style.
