Fictitious Affair + Reason For Divorce?

I've read that Fidel split from his wife Mirta due to her working for the Bautista regime while Fidel was imprisoned. According to this film it was due to a mixup of love letters between him and his mistress. Where did the film makers get this notion from? Has it been mentioned in many Castro biographies and I've just missed it?

The mix-up of the letters is in many biographies and a story widely told by many people close to the story -- seems to be something that actually happened. There's a theory that Mirta's brother or somebody associated with him mixed them up on purpose in order to get Mirta to dump him.
