Emily Mortimer was amazing!

I see that AO. Scott singled out the "fearless Emily Mortimer" in praising Lovely & Amazing.

Raven Goodwin& Katherine Keener did a great job in Lovely & Amazing.

But the scene where Emily Mortimer was anxious about her body & sought reassurance from Dermot Mulroney was perfect. Her acting was so nuanced. You felt the character's vulnerability & yet also her dignity. You are rooting for Mortimer's character all the way.

Being the prick that I am, that scene reminded me of scary movie.

you know Emily Mortimer hired a coach to help her at perfecting the american accent, and she actuallypaid the coach more money than she made through making the movie

Well, it was worth it because this performance will surely get a lot of positive attention for her and new more lucrative movie roles. Yes, she was exactly that -- lovely & amazing.

Yes her performance was so wonderful. All 3 sisters were great though. Catherine Keener and the little girl were both very convincing.

I want a good pic of Emily's hair in that movie because that is how I want mine cut!
I thought everyone was wonderful in this movie. I guess there weren't enough car crashes or cyborgs for the one who found it boring. I loved it. Keener is always so good, definitely one of the most underrated actresses today.

Here's to more well-written, well-acted, slice of life indie films. I can't get enough.
