Pootie Tang and modern art music
does anybody notice pootie tang's style of music seems to be influenced by modern composer john cage's piece "4 minutes 33 seconds"?
shareThere is certainly a stylistic overlap, but I find that Pootie's song " !" is that much more powerful and expressive. He really made it his own. There are many gifted musicians who, with the right training and instructions, can replicate Cage's piece, but " !" is Pootie's forever. He sined his pitty on the proverbial runny kine, if you will. Wa dah tah.
