Yeah, that was painful viewing. Since they are bearer bonds, it is likely some garbage collector who knows what to look for while collecting trash is going to be very lucky.

Actually, I'd love to see a movie exploring that. It wouldn't necessarily have to be a thriller. It could be a comedy with the prologue being the ending of "Panic Room".

Yeah, I believe it was just a writer's whim, like a poetical stupid line, because actually the guy kept the bear bonds very well in the jacket and he did not need to take them out to show his open hands to the police.

It's BEARER bonds, geniuses. Bear bonds are financial instruments Yogi and BooBoo invest in.

lol, these people are so stupid.

They can't grasp that bonds worth 1 million per are insured by serial number. Its not like you could trade one in at the local 7-11.

Do they come denominated in pic-a-nic baskets?

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

I just realized after watching this again that he ditched the bonds purposely so the police wouldn't catch him with the stolen $22 million. They had him earlier on the movie mention "felony kidnapping". So he was constantly thinking about what charges might be brought on him. If he was found with nothing the charge would probably be significantly less than having $22 million on him.
Anyway this made me like the movie and that scene a lot more. I used to hate that scene, and had no idea why he had them on his hand, but now I realize he was throwing them away on purpose, cos at that point he can't keep it anyway, even if the family inside don't identify him as one of the robbers as a favor.
