Third Movie?
Does anyone here know if Hunchback of Notre Dame is getting a third movie?

From what i've heard, Disney stopped making direct to video sequels, so i guess they will not make a Hunchback of Notre Dame III. Thank god for that, HoND II was awful i can only imagine the third...
shareI got a good indea for a HoND 3. It could be a prequel thing. It can maybe explain Quasi and Frollo's history with each other after that snowy night, Clopin's history, Esmy's history of how she came to Paris, how Frollo came to hate Gypsies so much, all kindsa stuff that's left open to explain. Maybe somehow bringing in Frollo's baby bro Jehan(He's from the book) and maybe even talk about some other stuff that made Frollo and the Archdeacon hate each other so much.
See? There's tonsa stuff that could be made for a prequel.

I'm not saying there are few topics to base a third movie, i'm just saying that it would, most likely, be awful. I agree with a prequel, but a prequel talking about Quasi after being left with Frollo, also tlaking about Esmerala coming to Paris. To explian why Frollo hates gypsies so much it would be going back too much, since in the day when he kill quasi's mother he alredy trully hates gypsies.
shareYeah. It would be too much. A third continuation of the store would be awful. I still think it would be cool to learn about Quasi and Frollo's back history, like how they grew to have such a dog and his master relationship. Maybe we can also learn more about Clopin and maybe see young Esmy.

LOL, he's a jester, he's suppost to hear such hideous pants... On a second though i'ld really love to see a third movie, if done with quality, obviously...

A third movie would me cool, like they could introduce Jehan as Frollo's brother who's the complete opposite of Frollo. He can be short, fat, complain about how their parents liked Frollo more, and maybe include some spiteful back history he has of someone and maybe even lust for Esmy to maybe to what his brother couldn't do. Or maybe Frollo had a sister and she'd be lusting for Phoebus and cause trouble. All I ask of is that the animation is well-done.

If they ever made a movie about Frollo, my guess is that the reason for his hatred of gypsies may have been because he was scorned by his gypsy lover as a lad and he never forgot it? Maybe Quasi's mom was his lover, making Quas really his son (and what a hideous son, he'd think)? Maybe Quasi's mother was also Esmerelda's mother too? Who knows?

I agree! Clopin's one of the best characters in the original movie. I've wanted to see a movie about him. ^_^ He's just awesome.
I see that third sequels/prequels like Little Mermaid and Cinderella have more quality in them than the second, so there's hope yet.
BTW, I love how in Cinderella 3, the animation is better and the expressions on the character are more realistic. So's Little Mermaid 3. Here's hoping! (I have to repeat myself, XD)
I had an idea very similar to that, except for Jehan. I haven't read the book, and don't plan to. Sue me. Anyways, my plan was to a write a fanfiction about Clopin's past with Esmeralda. I made them siblings, and orphans at that. Their mother died when Esmeralda was born, and their father was supposed to be the man who was with Quasimodo's mother in the prologue of the first film. The other man was the father's assistant named Antoine. Antoine was killed and so was the father. So 14 year old Clopin was basically left alone to raise 5 year old Esmeralda. As Esmeralda reached puberty, however. Clopin began to have incestuous feelings toward her. Esmeralda, of course, flew off the handle and fled the city before returning 10 or so years later. I did start to write it, but only completed the first chapter (which takes place on the night Frollo "met" Quasimodo), it's on Fanfiction.net as a oneshot. If you want to read it, but I just pretty much explained it all.
