shareWhen the werewolf flipped them off, I actually took off my hat and threw it down at the ground in the theater. I was so angry. And as far as Wes Craven falling? I still haven't seen him leave ground level yet.

I'm not sure if that was his idea or not from what I understood he was very unhappy with what the studio did to his I heard that he walked off but I'm not positive.
Hit the one in the middle
Why were you angry?
shareAre you not aware that this supposed to be a funny movie?

My mom and I were watching it and when that happened me and my mom both laughed and laughed and laughed and she said,"Well,I've gotta say I have NEVER seen a werewolf do THAT before!"
shareIt was funny as hell!
shareThe movie wasn't horrible until the "middle finger." After that it got ridiculous. My friend and I couldn't stop laughing after that. We were laughing the whole way home.

I just saw that movie ( i know im late) anyways, i was ready to give it a 5 out of 10 but after seing that scene, where the werewolf comes back and screams LIAR!! and does the middle finger.. I just droped that movie to a damn 3 out of 10.
You were laughing all the way home, is that such a bad thing?
share*beep* was funny to me
shareOk, what is wrong with you people?! Why does this certain scene make a difference? What if they actually tried to make a fun movie instead of a scary one?! What if it was meant to make you laugh, because it did have a good sense of humor?! EXACTLY! This was not a bad movie AT ALL! It was just bad because it wasn't scary?! STUPID! It was good because it was actually entertaining!
sharewell for one, the graphics were *beep* And 2, it made an even bigger mockery of a very bad film.
shareit was funny but after that the film was ruined lol
shareI thought the werewolf flipping them off was hilarious. it showed a good point that even after transformed, maybe werewolves can still tap into their human side but also it was bloody hilarious!

that was just ridiculous ... that scene and the one where no and her ex girlfriend go to jimmy's house and suddenly they are kissing!!!!! it was just to weird ...
shareI agree with moviewizguy. All the way.
sharewell to be honest, the genre it came under in my opinion would be 'teen horror', so with this in mind the main aim of this movie would be to scare you or atleast make you jump a few times - thats what scream managed to do so well. although 'cursed' managed to do this on the odd occasion i think the movie as a whole was a let down.
as for a more entertaining/comical side, there are a couple of witty one liners, but i certainly dont think this is their prime aim. The scene with the middle finger was one scene to far in my opinion. along with the poor graphics and computer animated imaging that made the wearwolf - this silly 'middle finger scene' let the movie down big time.
thats probably reflected in peoples voting scores.
I agree, dont understand how just one little scene could anger people. It was only there for laughs ...... usually when a movie has a comedy scene it is for relieving stress. Although it is usually between scary scenes, not during. I recall during Howling the last scene when the woman reporter transformed live on tv the put in a dog food commercial, that was funny.
shareI think what was even more amusing was the comment by Christina Ricci's character that made the werewolf give the finger.
shareAfter the middle finger popped out of nowhere, I just decided that even though it was the worst thing that could happen to a horror movie, comedy wise...it was pretty funny...
I laughed a lot more than I though appropriate :3
Who thought of that though? Seriously...
For me, after the part when milo's character came out, I just stopped being scared and just started laughing...
So...at least it made me laugh... I'll give it that.

Yes oh crumbs you are totally right at the end when the girl just shows up at his house and he just kisses her it's like they had to fit in a kiss at the end of the movie for the hell of it, it was such bad timing..
Klaatu barada nikto!
Which, roughly translated, means: You go, Keanu!
That was the stupidest sh*t ever....too freaking ridiculous and not funny at all to me.
way to kill a scene...
Did anyone not notice the fact that this movie has humor throughout? It was supposed to be campy.

BTW You folks may recall from legend that the symptoms displayed by a werewolf in human form include two that afflict the hands:
1) pentagram shape in the palm, and
2) middle finger and index finger of identical length.
Perhaps the scene under discussion was intended to refer to the latter symptom?
(I don't plan to see this movie—Wes Craven was an overrated hack at his peak and that was loooonnng ago—but this thread caught my eye in passing so I stopped in to do my bit to help raise the public's lycanthropic awareness. Good luck!)

That scene was so cheesy. It's one of the dumbest werewolf movies ever. So far I prefer Ginger Snaps and Dog Soldiers.

WE must have a screenshot of this!
shareIunno, I thought it was a pretty funny movie all around. If we think back to Wes Craven's earlier movies, even if you didn't know it was him directing it, you could definitely sense it. His style of movie doesn't make him a bad director, it makes him more unique. I liked his movies because they were this cheesy kind of horror movie that you were able to laugh at and still be scared at the same time.Jessie
