This movie was so excellent. Little Seth Adkins played such a lovely character. It was heartbreaking how removed from everyone he was. Everyone can relate to this. I was truly touched.

Mm hmm, I know where you're coming from kizzay. This film brought tears to my eyes - more than once. Definitey one of the best I've seen. If I had had any say, "When Andrew Came Home" would have swept the Awards. "When Andrew Came Home" left nothing to be desired, except maybe a cameo by Meryl Streep, or Jack Black.

I'm glad Seth was chosen for the role of Andrew.
It takes a lot to get into a character.
Seth took it a step ahead.
The best stories are true stories.
The trouble is that they are very tough to reenact on film.

Seth did a great job. He studied the real Andrew's Case History and learned all he could about what happened to Andrew. I am told that Seth lived with family of Andrew to know every move that the real Andrew did. This is where Seth did a great performance won him the Kid Actor Award. Seth will always be my favorite young actor.

could someone plez help me!!!!
i recorded this movie and i was watching it and it got up to a really good part and stopped because someone accidently stopped it, so could someone please tell me what happened from the part where andrew starts school,in detail if possible,i went to my local vid store but they didn't have it!!!!

Agreed. I had tears in my eyes at the end. It's one of the few movies that've made me cry.

this movie had me crying throughout the whole thing, considering it was a true story made my heart break down even more. Seth Adkins does a terrific job. It may be..never mind...IT IS the best and most moving film i have seen.

oh btw for all the people who are looking up info on Andrew, sometimes when a movie is being based on a true story, the people in real life might not want the movie to have their name used so they change it. the boy's name in real life might not be andrew.

I agree with kizzay. This movie was so moving and Seth Adkins was wonderful.
I love Park Overall too! I love her in everything she has been in. She is great in comedies and drama type movies.

Yea, I started this thread 4 years ago as a joke. I wonder if anyone who was around then is still around now. Just goes to show how active the board is for the AWESOME movie. I'm half kidding. The movie is alright. I'm just more interested to see if anyone is still active on IMDb

I read your first post again and I dont see anything in that which would make it be a joke that you started it. Everything you wrote sounds like a legitimate compliment of the movie.
