Changeling (2008)

Both are impressive 1930's period pieces, both have great cinematography and acting, both deal with deep emotional bonds of parenting in very difficult and unusual situations.

Haven't seen Changeling. I have seen The Departed, but I wasn't a fan of the film.

I don't know why, but I always thought Gattaca is a good movie to watch with this one.

funny, i always though in a way Road to Perdition/Lord of War are similar in some ways which is i consider them both masterpieces and have solid soundtracks and both are shot well and have good cinematography/tone them (although i give edge to Road to Perdition in cinematography dept as that's my 'go to' films for that) that further assists the films. both are definitely some of the best films that the 2000's have to offer.

and Lord of War is directed by Andrew Niccol to which is same guy who did Gattaca and happens to be one of my favorite directors out there as he's not failed me yet and makes memorable films.

'Public Enemies' or maybe 'The Untouchables'. Maybe check out the T.V show 'Boardwalk Empire'.

I would recommend Boardwalk Empire, it's a fantastic show, also Deadwood.

Boardwalk Empire is a very good show, but I strongly agree with the original poster about The Changeling. Hands down one of the best movies I have ever seen, and all around near perfect acting by the entire cast. I'm not an Angelina Jolie fan at all, but she is excellent in that movie.

Deadwood is top 5 best series EVER. Good call Kitty. Odd name, but too each his own.

people are so thick in here...how could u say changeling will be liked by people who liked RTP, changeling was an all out different movie...nobody mentioned here...carlito's way, eastern promises,goodfellas, etc etc..
