Alex + Jen

do we assume they remain separated when she goes back?
its not like she has the choice and ability to go back and forth in time to date wes. her next best choice would be to marry alex.

I think they do remain separated because even though they had been engaged, Jen realized that she doesn't love him anymore. Dating Wes is impossible, and kind of awkward because he's really like Alex's great great great (etc.) grandfather, but I think she likes Wes more than she does Alex. Who knows, she may be able to come back in time as new technology is developed in the future.

What IF... Jen was SUPPOSED to go back... and STAY THERE? What if SHE... was Alex's "Ancestor" - but no one, in the Future, KNEW about the connection? What IF... when Jen looked, at Alex, she was, subconciously, in love, with Wes? It's a HUGE, TEMPORAL NIGHTMARE!!!

Sometimes, this can be confusing. It would be a mistake, if she went back to loving Alex. Alex changed later in the seasons. From being nice to being, a jerk.

I know this is an old thread, but here's my assumption. We see in the Wild Force team-up "Reinforcements from the Future" two-parter, which is very much a coda to Time Force (while we see Wes and Eric one more final time in "Forever Red"), that Jen does come back to the past. While the natural idea for the other Rangers and their old enemies that come back is they go back to their future, I like to think Jen stays behind this time. It's a very subtle moment during the campfire talking scene, but she mentions to Wes how she's chosen her own destiny just as he did his, I like to think that's her way of telling him she's staying with him. That kinda makes Alex her descendant as well, but hey, it means she and Wes get to be together.

It would make sense. Alex said how the future was changing. One of those changes seems to be a drastic change in Alex's personality. As its implied in WiId Force that Jen stays in the past, it would make Jen Alex's great, great (etc) grandmother instead of whoever it was before, which could explain the change in him due to different ancestry, thus being raised differently.
