What is this movie about

And what is Cillian's role?

He's Harry's dumb but good natured son that marries a girl

He's supposed to be dumb, but I didn't really get that vibe. I received him as being a gentle young lad who is stuck somewhere in between trying to please his father and trying to be his own man. He's looking for his own footing in life.

Okay, question---why is him marrying a girl so...significant? I mean, I was watching a clip where he says "I've never been with a man before", is he supposed to have been with a guy? I'm a little confused on this. Can someone please help me?

Hello Ke77we,

Gus marring a girl is only significant in that it leads to infidelity on the wife’s part which feeds into the father’s madness and anger towards George O'Flaherty. The movie is about Harry and his journey into madness with Cillian playing a significant role as the son "Gus" who escapes it all.

As for the Clip, you seem to have misunderstood the scene here a bit. Gus actually asks his wife this question.

Gus: “You know I love you. Eileen have you ever been with a man before?”
Eileen: “No”
Gus: “Never met one you liked?”
Eileen: “No.”

In the very next scene we see the wife heading off to work over at George's house.

I hope this helps to clarify a bit more of what actually happens in the story. Gus is clueless about his marital duties and he is hoping his wife could take on more of the lead in their sexual relationship. But then this leads to other problems for Gus.

I hope you liked the film.
