Anybody read the book for this? Did they stay together and get married was she still with him in his "James Earl Jones" years?

If you haven't read the book yet, you MUST. It's absolutely wonderful. I haven't seen the movie, but I know it can't do this book justice. It needs to be in a 6 part mini-series.
To answer your question.......the book does not go into Marcel's later years.....you are left to your own imagination.

Well to my imagination they did get married and had 3 children, adding to her son four children.

I absolutely adore Marcel and Anna Bella in the movie and in the book.
