low budget slashers

What are your favourites low budget teen slashers?

reply

Well, I haven't seen too many low-budget horror films, but I can definately say that Cherry Falls is one of my faves. I watch it everytime it comes on tv. What are some of yours?

reply

American Nightmare (2002) and Lovers Lane (1999).

Delta Delta Die! because Julie Strain is hot. And if you could count Cabin Fever as low-budget, I'd say that.

to go with a little more current I would have to say 2009 Chromeskull Laid To Rest and 2011 Chromeskull Laid To Rest 2. I met in person back in March of last year Robert Hall who was the writer and director of the film, his fiance Angelina Armani, and Nick Principe as well. COOL People to talk to. There are some other low budget horror films that I can mention that I have seen and one of them eludes me on the title of the film because I commented on it on how it was similar to the film that Leonardo Dicapprio did a couple of years ago I believe that film that Leonardo Dicapprio did was called Shutter Island. Well the people did this film prior to the book being written and prior to Shutter Island being made.

The problem is that where I live I rarely see any low budget horror films being shown because they do not show them here at all. Now when I lived up in Chicago and Kenosha, Wisconsin I would always see a variety of films that range from main stream films, low budget comedies, and horror films as well. I miss that a lot. Now if USA UP ALL NIGHT was still on we would definitely see some of these low budget horror films on late at night on Friday and Saturday nights.
