Jesus statue?

Where is that Jesus statue at? I ran a search on google and found a picture of the one just like it in Rio de genero (spelling?) Then I went and looked up the filming locations and everything is in Portugal, but I can't find a jesus statue like that in Portugal. Can anyone solve the mystery for me lol?

It is in Portugal, Lisbon. It's called Cristo Rei statue. It faces Lisbon and it's just near Lisbon bridge.

No, I have never travelled to Portugal. Will do one day though, hopefully.

I have, and the part of the route is as specutacular as in the film, that bridge stretches across the Taugus and seems to go on for miles. Lisbon itself was interesting in the central part, but I didn't find the people very friendly.

Ye it's in Portugal. The Brazilian Jesus is kinda larger and is on a cliff over the sea not like that one. It appeared recently on the pilot for season 5 of CSI:Miami. That must have been some misfortunate to have works on the statue during filming!
