Casting

Forrest Whittaker and Jeremy Irons are sooo good and they put that little dweeb Jason Priestly in there with them?? He can't deliver a line without sounding like and looking like a snivelly, whiny little spoiled kid. Who's brilliant idea was it to cast him? Terrible. Shameful.

I disagree. It was perfect casting for Priestly who plays a snivelly, whiny, spoiled young person who has stolen money and murder on his mind. The 12 second grenade removed him and it was so satisfying. As Irons said after one Charlotte's lines about murder -- it isn't murder if is self defense. "Even if it feels so good?"

I agree with you - Jason Priestly really plays the villain well here. I had to look this up to make sure it was him, he was so far removed from his usual good-guy roles. But jeez - Forest Whitaker was awful -actually I don't think he's ever been good except his Oscar winning role as dictator Idi Amin in "The Last King of Scotland". In 4th Angel he just is so unbelievable, and I wondered how the British actors (all excellent, esp Irons and Rampling) evaluated his performance. Worse than bad - took the film down for me. Some of the technical mistakes are inexcusable. Wrong language, wrong place for an airport etc. but most of the violence is almost too good. Horrible to watch the young daughter still alive but not for much longer. So...mixed review for me.

Jason Priestley spoke with a British accent, great!
