Nice Little Off Beat Film

I watched this in a streak of other little off-beat films like LuLu on the bridge to name one. I actually liked it, yes, some of the acting was cheesey, but it added to the story, and it kept me guessing, unlike so many main stream thrillers where I have it figured out in 5 minutes...sometimes 2...
It was shot in Toronto, I could tell by the poster in the background in the resturant. And it had Canadian 'talent' too, Michael Ironside, must have been nice for him to have some work, he hasn't been around much either, he added to the many 'weird' characters in the cast.
Well all I have to say is that I enjoyed the hour and some odd minutes I spent watching it...maybe if I happen across it in the discount DVD bin or something I'll pick it up.

When watching movies, never take anyones word for it. See it for yourself.

I was thoroughly surprised by this film. I happened upon it one night while flicking around HBO. it is very engrossing and keeps you interested and guessing. as you said, many thrillers and mysteries put out nowadays are incredibly predictable and lack any serious thought. for instance, in the film Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless mind, i figured out the ending within the first 5 - 10 minutes... this is not to say i didn't enjoy it, it’s just that it seemed rather obvious to me. this film holds your interest and weaves a very intricate plot that has many odd and strange twists. the film's overall sense of humor helps it be a memorable film.

This movie was on TV last night and I wasn't going to watch it because I don't like Steven Baldwin...(er no offence to anyone esp Steve) .... but I did watch it and thought it was great..!!!

I didn't know WTF was going on sometimes which made me want to finish watching it just to see the ending....

Still didn't like Baldwin in it.. sorry... but a good movie anyhow....

But it wasn't shot in Toronto, but in Montreal. I played one of the office worker where the window washer accident happens.

this is definitely underrated. Some surprising imagination in the camerawork at times... you can see that this guy isn't afraid to take risks with the camera.

The screenplay seems to have some clever ideas as well. But there are just too many odd shifts in tone here... it doesn't seem to want to commit to being either a comedy or a thriller and the mix doesn't work well here. Also the casting; not smart... Stephen Baldwin at this point has 'B movie actor' written all over him. A cast of unknowns would've been more risky, certainly, but a better idea creatively.

I didn't like it...I agree with the poster above it was uneven in tone, and just seemed to corny for me, like an inferior Cohen film...Even though in theory I should admittedly like Coen ripoffs, this just didn't do it for me...Real hammy acting too..

This film was on TV when I had insomnia, which was something I had in common with the main character. Thought I'd watch it to help me fall asleep. I remained awake until the end, although it was sometimes difficult to understand the waitress because she'd whisper. It's a bit quirky and has odd, interesting characters, which gives the film character
