MELLOW

This film is so great, but anyone else love the soundtrack?
I am a huge Mellow fan...They have some really great releases out: "Morning After Paint Drops", "Another Mellow Spring", and "Perfect Colors", etc.

hey

Also a fan but I do think they're credited since I looked for the band's name after the movie was over and that´s how I first found out about 'em.
They're pretty good as an aesthetic musical object that references a lot on the 60's so they're the perfect band for CQ since both are destined to tickle the minds of savant pop culture history admirers.
Honestly I like coppola's and mellow's work very much but they do not move me like the music of AIR (of which mellow are protegés) and, well, the actual masterpieces of 60's cinema.

If I'm not mistaken, Mellow is mentioned in the opening credits. I remember that name running through my mind while I was watching the opening sequence.

Yes, and it's a vry good soundtrack. Some of it is kind of slow and bland, but a number of songs stand out. Seek You, 321...Zero, Take Me Higher, A Vision, Absolutely Free, CQ Theme, The End, and CQ Song are my personal faves.

I was actually listening to the album right now, that's why I checked out the CQ page. Oh and I absolutely adore this movie, it always makes me happy.

Two frustrating things about Mellow's soundtrack for CQ:

1. It's out of print (at least in the US -- the label, Emperor Norton, went out of business years ago)

2. Some music from the movie is NOT on the soundtrack.
