old director stealing film seem surreal to anyone else?

that whole section of the film - where the older director steals the film until he is out of the tunnel - seems out of place to me.

i take it really happened - nothing to signal it didn't - but Valentine driving the car that way and the tunnel confrontation just seemed imagined in his head to me.

any thoughts?

Action is the enemy of thought

I agree it did seem surreal, and as it happened, I wondered if it was just one of Paul's daydreams- especially when he kissed Dragonfly.

"If this wasn't my son's wedding day, I'd knock your teeth out, you anti-Dentite bastard."
