To you, who was actually there

I watched "The Man On The Moon" and was stunned by the amount of both humour and drama of Andy Kaufman. Since this film is based on a true story, I would like to know how accurate it is. Did anyone here actually go to this Carnegie Hall show? How was it? What happened in between, in the bus, and at the destination were everyone supposedly had milk and cookies? It would be great to hear some new and lesser known rare Andy Kaufman stories.

I was at the Carnegie Hall show, in the first row, with a friend, and it was amazing. Andy as Elvis sang a whole song to me, and I was tempted to toss him a silk scarf to wipe his face but didn't, figuring people would think I was a plant. Little children ran along the front row, kissing us. Andy's grandma sat on stage, beaming, and we blew her kisses and she waved back; it was, of course, Robin Williams. We went on the bus to a local elementary school and had the milk and cookies, but drew the line at following Andy to the Staten Island ferry for a harbor crossing at about three in the morning. It was absolutely awesome and I enjoyed myself very much indeed.
