Help - what happened at the end?

My Sky+ box cut the ending off the BBC's showing of The Martins. Please can anyone tell me what happened!

I got to the bit where Robert's come out of prison and is in the kitchen, and Kathy Burke comes into the room. Was he welcomed back into the bosom of his family? Did she say "we've moved on, love" and kick him out? Did the husband of the woman over the road burst in and kill him (or announce that he's now shacked up with Martin's wife)?

I enjoyed this film, for the reason most reviews seem to have criticised it - it was difficult to pigeon-hole. I'm not a fan of Lee Evans, but I thought he was excellent in this, as, of course, was Kathy Burke. The son was really good as well. I found it quite depressing, but moving too.

They were stood in the kitchen
Angie: What happened to you coming out next week?
Robert: Everything looks different
Angie: It's just a lick of paint. He's a toddler now, not a baby anymore. Are you gonna give me a cuddle or what?
Robert: Oh,... yeah [They Hug]
Angie: And I don't want you goin soft on me. Go and see your grandson. [Goes into the garden]
[Everyone's playing outside, Angie looks at Robert holding the baby and smiles]
The son: You're a grandad
Robert: A grandad?!
[Camera goes into the sky and fade to black] [End Credits]

But before she asks for a cuddle . . . he does kind of say "i don't know . . . .maybe I gotta . . " and starts to make a motion like he should leave them, perhaps feeling they were better off without him and he should not intrude.

Then she grabs him and asks for a cuddle and he realizes things could work.
