Very under-rated movie. - Out Cold (2001) Discussion

I agree...it is under rated...i just bought the dvd a few days ago for only $7.50!! and probably have watched it about 5 times since i bought it, definately in my top 10 movies

I just leant it out to a friend of mine after describing it to her, and she agrees with me...this is definitely one of the most under-rated comedies ever. Especially Luke...I can't help but laugh anytime he says something.

I love this movie! Anyone know any other good shredding movies? It's summer and now I'm depressed =( I've already watched my 91 words for snow, paradox, etc way to many times lol

ski patrol is pretty much the ski version of this movie. yes, i agree outcold is certainly one of my fav comedies, but watch ski patrol because its the same premise with skiing involved. funny stuff!!!

You may want to try one of the documentary style films from one of the many indie production companies out there. These films will really give you some good shredding with good music, depending on the producers.

I would advise you to check out trailers before you buy. It should give you a pretty good idea of what's inside (i.e. big mountain, slope style, base jumping, snowmobiles, skiers, snowboarders).

I love these movies, especially during the dreaded summer months. These films don't usually play out quite like movies, but the bar of skill level is so much higher, as these guys are all sponsored pros.

I've never seen Animal House, though I do agree with you about this movie being seriously underrated. A 5.5?! That's absurd who the hell voted for this movie?

This movie is indeed underrated, the dutch veronica magazine actually only gave it 1 star, stating it was a bad american pie ripoff. That was one of the dumbest things I had ever read, It isn't anything like american pie.
It has great jokes, beautiful snowboard scenes, beautiful women and it really gets you into the mood for snowboarding. I watch it every year before going to Austria and some times even before I go to a indoor skiramp.
Also, the actors perfectly portray how me and my friends (all veteran snowboarders) act, definatly when we are on the mountain.
It's one of my favorite comedies and I definatly prefer it to American pie.
At least a 8, and a 9 or 10 for those of us who love the sport/lifestyle.

Besides, Jason London is in it and that alone makes it awesome if nothing else did!!!! He is terrific in this. Truely 'King of the Mountain'!!!

I couldn't even make it through the first ten minutes. It's one of only two movies I've ever walked out on in a theater (the other being Click).
