Which world is your favorite?

I would have to say my favorite world is the Magic Crafters world.

reply

[deleted]

Beast Makers, definately. The levels are challenging and fun.

reply

You DEFINITELY need to learn how to spell definitely. {There's no "a" in that word.}

Eight divided by one-half equals four squared!

reply

Definately dream weavers. The whole world was seriously trippy. Secoond favourite is probably Gnorc Cove, followed by Magic Crafters. I think my least favourite was beast makers.

reply

Beast Keepers.

All of Them.

Magic Crafters

Master of Puppets- one of the best albums of all time.

It has to be Magic Crafters...the animation is fantastic.

yeah i love haunted towers too, probably cos when i first got the game years ago i spent ages in there trying to find the way to the third dragon!

reply

[deleted]

i kept thinking you had to use the ramp leading round the little pond! now i can do it easy cos i know what i'm supposed to do.
it's not just the level i like, i love the background music too, usually the levels i like most are the ones with the best music!

reply

That's funny, I used the little ramp too! And the music in that level was my favourite in the game too. I spent ages trying to figure out where the dragon was - I had to resort to a walkthrough on the net. I was worse with Spyro 3: it took me 4 YEARS to complete it! Fun game, though. I love spyro.

Spiders? Why spiders? Why couldn’t it be follow the butterflies?

i've completed Spyro 1 2 and 3 so many times now! i've played them so often i know where everything is!
I also like Dark Passage, Dry canyon and Toasty- all cos i love the music! i also like that music they use on the credits in all 3 games.

reply

[deleted]

When I was little I was scared of Dark Passage! I kept on dying there so I just avoided it. I did the same with the levels on Gnasty's World. I used to get scared of games all the time. I still can't play Tomb Raider because I'm scared of the bears!

the only levels i REALLY don't like are lofty castle and jacques. Lofty castle is too boring and jacques has too many awkward glide parts- plus they're both too fairytale for me!

reply

[deleted]

yeah, you're right there. misty bog only has two chickens so if you lose sparx, you've had it. And it cost me so many lives trying to get that last dragon in tree tops for the first time!

reply

[deleted]

and what about that room in misty bog thats absolutely chock full of those frogs and gnorcs? suicidal!
working out how to get that third dragon in tree tops for the first time is ridiculous. its all about running across about 3 different supercharges and 2 ramps and then just hoping you get the height.

reply

[deleted]

I like Ice Cavern and Stone Hill, i think it is.I hate gnasty gnorc.

Sens should change their colors to black&blue they get their butts kicked so bad.

reply

[deleted]

Old em i agree lofty castle was a HORRIBLE level.Thats the only level i still have trouble with in all 3 spyros.I liked Jacques and Dark Passage in Dream Weavers and i liked Misty Bog.But i hated treetops cuz it was 2 hard and Toasty. But i liked Toasty cuz the music is cool, but i always got killed by his dogs.DU,mb mutts.:D oh and i hate Firewerks Factory but i luv the music

Dream Weavers is the best, followed by Magic Crafters.

reply

I LOVE the Dream Weavers world. It's sooo beautiful.

Tree Tops is one of my favorite levels, though, simply because every time I pull out the game and play, I can't remember where everything is on that level. It frustrates me every time! I remember the first time I played it, my little brother and I spent night after night holed up in the game room with popcorn and sodas, trying to beat that level. Those were the days...

Haha, none taken!

Tree Tops, for me, is one of those worlds (levels?) with which I have an extreme love-hate relationship. While I'm playing it, I get extremely frustrated and end up with sore thumbs from all that supercharge steering. But, in retrospect, I always think of it fondly for challenging me, so I go back and play it once more...and the vicious cycle begins anew.

But yes, the Dream Weavers world is top-notch. I especially like Dark Passage, and I think...Haunted Towers? I can't remember all the names and/or if I'm mixing names up.

its sort of hard to explain in writing, but basically you have to run down that first supercharge after the green thief, then land on the huge tree stump platform and keep running, run to the right and jump onto the ramp and run down, at the bottom jump round the corner and run UP the next supercharge then at the top jump and land on another ramp, keep running, jump and hope to god that you got the height! if this is too confusing, you should just run after the green thief, stick close to him and he'll lead the way!

i've decided that i also like alpine ridge in magic crafters! but dream weavers is probably my overall favourite world.

sorry, didn't mean to confuse you, its just that its so hard to write down, let alone do!

reply

[deleted]

[deleted]

glad i could help! tree tops is supposed to be the hardest level in the series apparently!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

no i don't think so either. i think it may be the hardest level in the game but not the series. i read it somewhere on a website that someone reckons its the hardest in the series. i think there are harder levels on spyro 2 and 3 though.

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

yeah i think so. i think the snowboard race in the super bonus world in spyro 3 is quite hard. What would you say is the hardest level in spyro 3?

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

oh yeah, that fireworks factory is one nightmare of a level! i remember the first time i played it, and was stuck on agent 9's part for ages!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

yeah i remember that bit. stupid dragons! with the agent 9 part i used to shoot some, run away and fill up sparx, then keep doing that. it took me ages that way!
i suppose thats one good thing about all spyro 1 levels not having side quests, mind you getting some of the dragons was hard enough!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

yeah there was nothing too hard in spyro 2- a lot of them were quite enjoyable.

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

hmmm, i can't really decide. i like the one in magma cone where you race hunter picking up those crystals, but i also like that one in idol springs where you have to feed fish to the idol.

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

and frusrating because if you wait to see what colour fish it is, you have no time to flame it, and if you flame too quickly you end up feeding him a million red ones!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

not one of my favourites! its all scattered and that stupid alchemist can't even walk in a straight line! i like it more than i used to, but still...

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

i wouldn't mind but he only has to walk around the corner! does he actually want to get hit?!
No wonder Hunter hates him so much!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

YES! and in fact it wasn't me who finally found it, it was my sister! i found that one on the wall but she finally found that cracked wall that takes you to that orb on the little island!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

and do you notice that spyro 3 is chock full of those cracked walls? there were only 2 in the second one and they were both in autumn plains.

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

how did you used to get to the other side? or did you just leave out that part?

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

so you never got to that 3rd dragon and the thief till recently? ah well, better late than never!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

oh don't worry about that, i didn't know how to get those guys for a while either. there was a lot of treasure in metalhead i had trouble getting to at first as well.

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

yeah its easy now, but i missed it at first.

[deleted]

yep, we've been there, done that!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

hmmm... i think mine are-

1.dream weavers
2.magic crafters
3.artisans
4.peace keepers
5.gnastys world
6.beast makers

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

i do like beast keepers, but i just like the others even more! and yeah, i don't like jacques or lofty castle too much, but it weird and hard to explain, i just like the feel of dream weavers. i love the home world, dark passage, and haunted towers, so they kind of overrule those levels i don't like. confused? me too!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

apart from treetops, which level would say you don't like or find boring? i would say something like gnorc cove. i just find it a little bit boring.

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

i'm the same with the artisans levels now cos i've done them so often!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

i think i was about 9 when i first played. and when you first play, the levels seem so much bigger!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

18. but i still love playing them!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

you really don't like peace keepers, do you?
which level do you most hate in it?

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

i know i said i love dream weavers, and i do, but i really can't stand jacques!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

yeah i know. and its not even much of a fight is it? you just chase him while he lobs the odd box at you!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

i think that noise the little dogs make is cute, when you hit them. not when they're large though! i remember when one of those dog first ate me, it really made me jump!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

i sometimes still jump now when they eat my and i'm not expecting it! and also that bit in spyro 2, aquaria towers when the robotic sharks eat you, that bit still makes me jump if i'm not expecting it!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

i tried that too. i decided to be cocky and see if i could do it without the submarine. i got eaten as soon as i dived! then when i tried to use that superflame powerup to kill them, i got too close when i was aiming and then one of the sharks shot forwards and ate me! i made me jump cos i didn't realise i was too close!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

i don't think there are any enemies that eat you in spyro 3, are there? i mean, there's that whale in evening lake, but he's supposed to eat you anyway...

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

can't decide between crystal flight and icy flight

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

i know what you mean, some things like the arches are spaced out so you always feel like you're losing too much time getting from one to the other.
i used to do crystal flight in a really complicated order until i realised that there's a simpler way. but with the simpler way i always seem to lose a lot of time getting from one object to the other.

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

wild flight is a really scattered one. everything is all spread out and you have to make sure you don't crash when you nose dive right at the start!

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

what i found a bit weird at first on the 3rd spyro was the fact that you got gems rather than extra time in the speedways when you got an object. so you could collect all the treasure by getting the objects without actually completing the challenge cos its the egg that counts more than the treasure.

"A flying rock! Call a geologist!"- Homer Simpson

reply

[deleted]

i like those hunter challenges though. i like that one where you have to shoot down ufos and space cows before they abduct the farmers

Peace keepers!

Dream Weavers! This has to be one of the most replayable games ever... I just remembered that level were you glide all the way across this river down the bottom in this canyon looking place... it has those vultures on the other side... can't remember the name of the level though...

What? No spoilers here...
