can't believe how many morons say 'this sucked, worst film ever etc'

It's a genuinely chilling film and although sometimes a little slow-moving it's bloody good.

Now as for the complaints about the German soldiers using british accents...I think they want you to use a little something called your I.M.A.G.I.N.A.T.I.O.N!

British film hence British actors, if it were a German film no doubt it would've had German actors (noticing a trend here?) And christ how bad would it have been if they all spoke in stereotypical comic book German? "ja er ist nicht so gut englander, der tunnel ist very scary und ist machs me emptyen meinen bowels!" Oaft that would be unbearable.

It's perhaps not to evryone's taste, but anyone stupid enough to say "worst film ever" clearly hasn't sat through garbage like High School High, Snakes on a TRAIN, and other b-movie garbage. So guys, let's be a little less dramatic and controversial for the sake of it and just employ a little common sense eh? You're welcome to say you thought the film was poor, but maybe some better reasons than "stupid accents, uniforms weren't correct, no zombies" and other garbage like that!

The biggest problem with The Bunker is that this kind of horror movie has been done so many times.

1980's Death Ship comes to mind.

Session 9 is about 10 times better than The Bunker and it came out in 2001 as well.

this movie was great...

I wasn't too fussed on 'The Bunker', but yeah it wasn't as bad as all that. I think it was just marketed the wrong way. I was expecting a good shoot-em-up horror film, so obviously I was going to be disappointed.

Other than that, I think it could have done with a bit more character development, and for some reason, I just couldn't buy John Carlisle as Private Mirus.

As for the British accents, it took a bit of getting used to, but I don't think it was that big of a deal. It becomes obvious quite quickly which side of the war the characters are on, and giving them all German accents would just be pointless. If anything, I'm glad that the director respected the viewer's intelligence enough not to give everyone phoney German accents, just so we'd know they are supposed to be German. Plus, it would make the dialogue hard to understand.

Aye, stereotypical accents are something Hollywood does so that your average hillbilly doesn't have to use his noggin. The rest of the world just relies on common sense.

I was wondering the whole movie through why they used English speaking Germans, the movie would have worked with English speaking Englishmans as well but in the end it was all clear: They shot their own man, something the Allies never would have done. Haha!

Same ridiculous logic was used in 'Enemy at the gates'.

Chilling? LOL. I found most of the "scary" parts just plain laughable and stupid. The director must have thought "Just throw in dark settings, creepy footsteps and dripping water, and that will be sure to work!"

I've got a GREAT I.M.A.G.I.N.A.T.I.O.N.

I've already pretended that I've NEVER seen this film before, that way, I can imagine I haven't lost any brain cells by having sat through it.
