worst film ever!

it took me 20 minutes realise that the soldiers in this movie were not british but german, thats right GERMAN SOLDIERS WITH BRITISH ACCENTS-DIE MOVIE MAKERS DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, would you rather they spoke in German and the subtitles appeared at the bottom of the screen? Or if they spoke English but with German accents as per usual, because that REALLY makes sense when foreign people ditch their native tongue for no reason whatsoever.

reply

I'm actually really glad the british actors didn't try to speak in a german accent, it gave the film an added touch of class IMHO - theres nothing worse putting on faux accents which just don't sound right at all

reply

I definitely agree. The first choice would be to use the authentic language (in this case German). If that's not possible or wanted, one should use the native language of the actors (in this case British English) without adding an accent (in this not adding a German accent). Adding accents to suggest that one is actually speaking in an another language is really crappy.

reply

Well, I had to watch the film with subtitle. That's the case for all foreign films. If I can read subtiltles, you can as well.

You need to see more movies.
I recommend Uwe Boll

OK, this is such blatent trolling it's not even worth responding to with any effort. All I'm going to say is anyone who complains about the accents just need to discover something called "imagination" and with any luck get over it and actually try to enjoy the film. Believe it or not but there is a film to really enjoy in The Bunker and I honestly pity those who can't appreciate it because of something so trivial as the English accents the actors have.

I may be a tiny chimney-sweep but I've got an enormous brush.

I agree , infact the more times you watch this film the less notice you take of the accents,i think the director was experimenting here, because everyone who watches this film always watches it again to try and work the plot out,so you dont take any notice of the accents. My father-in-law he thinks this is a rubbish film and yet he has watched it three times,so it definately draws the viewer back.

Its a pyhsiological thriller, you either love em or you hate em.

Ramones, the best band ever.

reply

It was boring (and not very psychological thriller-ish, in my opinion).

I AGREE..... with the worst movie ever review....
and I have seen a lot of movies....
this takes the NUMBER ONE spot on my list away from ALI.......

It was supposed to be a psychological thriller ?? I'm glad someone pointed that out... because I surely never guessed that.
This movie was like totally improvised. No storyline was followed....
the actors did OK I guess..... even with their mismatched accents.
I bought this for 5$ at my local video rental store.... the picture on the box and the description on the back looked good.

Very bad movie.

Watch more films.

Hovis!

British movie, British actors, simple as that.

Besides, Uwe Boll didn't direct it, and that pretty much automatically makes it decent.
