To buy?

Is this for sale anywhere on DVD or VHS. Depressingly, it's not on TV anymore, and I misplaced my VHS that I had many of the episodes recorded on.

So does anyone know of any copies?

Go to iOffer.com and search for Queen of Swords in TV and movies to buy. I just purchased the complete series on DVD.

To the best of my knowledge, the series is not available on DVD in the US. It has been released episode by episode in Japan. It was on Video tape, but only a limited number of copies were produced. If you find it offered on DVD and it is not the Japanese ones, then it is likely not an officially released DVD.

Queen of Swords series did get a limited VHS release at the end of 2001, after the show had been cancelled. It was manufactured in Canada by the show's producers, Fireworks Entertainment, and was available to order only online for sale only in the United States and Canada (NTSC, region 1 format) through the official Queen of Swords website linked to Fireworks' website (the set was not available to the mass retailers at all) at the time. It was an eight volume VHS set (strictly limited to under 1000 sets made), with 3 episodes per tape for the last seven tapes, and with the first tape containing the first episode plus bonus material (which was just various clips from the series along with the show's theme music being played in the background). The set costed $99.99 US/$149.99 Canada, plus shipping costs. A certificate of authenticity card sheet was also released with the set by Fireworks Entertainment, inside the box of the first tape volume.

The show has a small cult following in terms of fans, and Fireworks was kind enough to offer this limited VHS set as a thank you to us fans who loved the show (which they didn't have to do at all). I'd love to see the show out on DVD though. Maybe one day an official DVD set will get made in the future. Your best bet is to try online auction sites like ebay.com where you might find the odd seller trying to sell a set away (some folks might have ordered more than one set when the VHS set was first offered for sale back then).

I just purchased the compleate 1.st. Season (22 Episodes) for around $55.00 euro dollars, including the shipping to canada.
Go to amazon.fr, dvd
and type in SOUS LE SIGNE DE L'EPEE.

This version includes ENGLISH & french LANGUAGE in a set of 6 dvd's in a deluxe bookcase edition. The quality is excellent.

However it is recorded in the european PAL version, so you need a zone-free
DVD player. I bought one online for $129.00 , 3 years ago. A decission I never had to regret. I have the liberty now, to order movies worldwide. And this player plays everything on a disc.
