Bad Film

I know that I will get flamed by those who love this, but really, I have to speak my mind.

This was by far one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Its plot was disjointed, its characterizations were poor, and the dialogue could have been written by a child. I found that this was a blatant rip off of Ghost Ship, without that movie's intrigue.

It also did not help that the ending was tacked on. It was like they were chugging along with the story, and suddenly realized that they were running out of time, and ended the movie, with no climax at all.

If you are at all interested in a good oceanic horror, rent Ghost Ship or Below.

Hang on! Didn't it come out before Ghost Ship?

You suspect one of the directors of staging a midnight raid? Roll on those Hollywood wildmen if that's the case.

This film was a little ...lame, but I liked it. I bought it for $5.00 at Walmart the other day, it was too much like Ghost Ship, but it had a different plot. They were both made in the same year, they didn't rip off anyone because they didn't know each one was filming...,

Epps.

I would imagine you haven't seen very many movies then, if this was the one of the worst you've ever seen. It was very predicable, sure. The acting was, however, above par for it's kind. And if I had to liken it to any other movie, I would have to say 'Event Horizon' is close. Both take place on a ship. Both deal with ships and their crews disappearing into some questionable area (in this case, the Bermuda Triangle. In Event Horizon a black hole) and returning sans crew and chock-full of evil, murderous intent. Ghost Ship was utter *beep* as well, with the exception of some nicely executed(no pun intended) death/gore scenes. I agree that the ending was retarded. I really didn't fancy the poorly done CGI in the film either, but not bad for a made-for-tv flick. I would buy it from the 5.00 bin at Wallyworld. *grins*

Actually, Lost Voyage came out before Ghost Ship did. So who's ripping who off now?

I'm sure fans of St. Elmo' Fire will be pissed with what I am about to say. Any film with Judd Nelson leading the cast would surely suck. I was about to watch it on Sci Fi but decided to check IMDB first.
