...die? Just watched this today and unless I missed it, I don't think they ever mentioned it. But I was wondering if maybe book readers could clear this up?
I remember two things very clearly: I am a great sinner and Christ is a great Savior.
Yes, Carol did live and if I remember correctly she shows up at the funeral but denies she is Carol; she is now a school teacher (Not fully shure about that though, but we all know it is her.)
Never depend on anything and you will never be disappointed.
yeh that pretty much ties in with the book, everyone thinks shes dead but shes changed her name and is living a new life as a scool teacher,i cant remember the film to well but the book is amazing.
They don't say in the movie but in the book, she becomes a radical and gets involved in some kind of domestic terrorism and is supposedly killed in the attempt(I'm going from memory here). Apparently she turns up as she changed her identity.
Yeah i haven't read the book in awhile either but I do remember the bomb that was supposed to go off in an empty administrative building that ended up killing six or seven people. Randall Flag was somehow involved and then when the authorities began to close in on them he left them to take the heat. The house they were holed up in went up in flames and later blood was recovered that matched Carols. She and Bobby meet again forty years later at Sully's funeral.
"Sorry I'm late. I was taking a crap." Paul Newman
To answer the OP's query, her death wasn't explained, as it just wasn't important to the main narrative of this film adaption of King's book, which as morganseer points out, is quite different from the original source.🐭
Just saw the movie and mostly enjoyed it. Info find the omission of any explanation of how Carol dies to be a quite annoying loose thread since it is clear from the film what an important part she played in Bobby's life, how he's clearly not over her and was crushed to find that she was dead. It's further annoying that his 'good friend' Sully would think enough of Bobby (and know where he lives) to Will him an old baseball glove but not bother to mention at any point in their lives, "Hey, remember Carol? She just died from ...."
That line should read,"I find the omission of any explanation of how Carol dies..." I hate not having a review function in the message area when I use my phone.
